Social Media Strategist 

Department: Video + Events

Job Type: Part-time Contract

Role:

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing CIRCUS PICNIC social media strategy, our client's social media strategy, and working across multiple social media channels and our website.

This role will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and gaining online visibility for our brand and our client’s brands.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the on-site marketing manager to create and implement social media campaigns.
  • Assist with streamlining company and key client social media accounts and  ensuring uniform content and tone of voice.
  • Manage social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, Linkedin, Hootsuite, etc.
  • Deliver ongoing written copy for social media and schedule posts.
  • Maintain a consistent release schedule.
  • Actively engage with audience daily through social platforms.
  • Strategize, create, draft, and schedule social posts.
  • Tag strategic affiliations to increase engagement.
  • Assist in copywriting and formatting of the monthly newsletter.
  • Assist in copywriting and formatting of a weekly blog post.
  • Write on brand captions for videos.
  • Reach out to publications to cross promote CP content.
  • Package communication for other media to share our content.
  • Create, monitor, and interpret social media metrics & reports.
  • Conduct market research to post content that is on brand for CP and our client’s brands.
  • Add graphic design text treatments and color-grading of photos.  
  • Take behind the scenes photos on occasional productions.
  • Create a bank of social media posts through mining CP photo/video content.
  • Help build and adhere to team’s systems and processes.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Experience running business social media platforms.
  • In depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Google+, and Hootsuite.
  • Good eye for design.
  • Intermediate Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/lightroom skillsIntermediate photography skills.
  • Must own phone with an HD camera or a DSLRAbility to work on some weekends.
  • Must provide your own transportation to CP Studios.
  • Ability to work from CP studios.
  • Must be able to speak the language of the “lifestyle of health and sustainability” industry.

Work Schedule:

  • Several days per week.  Flexible.

Production Coordinator

Department: Video 

Job Type: Part-time Contract 

Terms: 1 month  
20 hrs/week

Payment: Negotiable

Role: The production coordinator supports & manages the logistical details of our video production projects.  

Responsibilities:

  • Produce video content for clients and the CIRCUS PICNIC brand.
  • Work with team to develop creative briefs, concept proposals, budget, allocate resources, set deadlines, project timelines, draft contracts, and editor briefing documents.
  • Develop production schedules and budgets.Scout, select, and reserve shoot locations.
  • Hire and coordinate crew and talent.
  • Coordinate and book travel and accommodations for out of town productions.
  • Write and deliver organized call sheets for crew productions.  
  • Reserve and manage rental equipment.
  • Ensure all location power needs are met.
  • Make transportation arrangements for crew, talent and equipment.
  • Manage video productions onsite as needed.
  • Production assist in the field as needed.
  • Run production errands.Conduct content research.
  • Help build and adhere to team’s systems and processes.

Results:

  • Multiple turnkey video productions from conception to production that are well organized, stay on schedule, and within budget.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented.
  • 2 years video production experience.
  • Experience using G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Cal, Hangouts, Slides).
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana.
  • Ability to work on some weekends.
  • Ability to drive own car for productions.
  • Ability to lift at least 35 lb objects (pelican cases, tripods).
  • Ability to work from CP Studios.

Work Schedule:

  • Several weekdays + occasional weekend productions.
